The MDCK cell line-specific, serum-free suspension culture medium is extensively applicable in the synthesis of influenza vaccines. This medium provides a significant advantage over conventional chicken embryo-based methodologies, primarily by substantially reducing the production timeline for vaccines. In a bioreactor setting, the seed cells demonstrate an amplification potential of up to 8-fold, while maintaining cellular integrity and stability across over 40 passages. Additionally, the medium facilitates a streamlined and efficient viral inoculation process within the bioreactor. Its formulation is uniquely tailored to be compatible with a diverse spectrum of influenza virus strains, enhancing its utility in the production of various influenza vaccine types.
